Do you offer a free trial?

We do offer a free tier that includes email support for the first 60 days. You can create an account, import and sync your data, customise templates and emails, and use many of SuperNova features for free. You can send 500 emails maximum to up to 250 contacts. You also get 150 SMS credits. You’ll be prompted to upgrade once you exceed that limit.

What are carrier fees?

Carrier fees are surcharges that mobile carriers (such as Verizon, Vodafone, etc.) apply to a business’s outbound and, in some cases, inbound text messages. Many SMS providers don’t include these fees into their cost per message, but with SuperNova, they are included in your upfront price.

Do inbound messages sent by the customer to our business cost credits?

No, only outbound text messages to customers cost credits.

What if I have more contacts than my plan allows, or need to send more email/SMS?

Don’t worry. If you go over the number of contacts or messages in your plan, we provide upgrade options for a seamless experience. You can upgrade email and SMS channels independently.

What is a short code and when do I need one?

A short code is a 4-6 digit phone number that businesses use to deliver text messages to their customers. Short codes have a higher throughput than toll-free numbers, so if your business needs to send SMS messages to more than 95,000 people per month, we recommend upgrading from a complimentary toll-free number to a short code. Once you reach the recommended sending volume, SuperNova will reach out to help you secure a dedicated short code for your business.If you want a short code before reaching 95,000 people, you can request a short code and begin using it as soon as the application is approved by mobile carriers. The short code will come at an additional cost. Some brands choose to start sending from a short code immediately to prevent having to change the number that customers receive their texts from when migrating from a toll-free number to a short code.

What is a profile?

Email profiles An active email profile is any profile that can be emailed on SuperNova. There are two main categories of active profiles SubscribersProfiles added through general engagement A suppressed email profile is any profile with an associated email address that cannot receive marketing emails because they bounced, are manually suppressed, have unsubscribed, or have marked your messages as spam.

Total profilesThe overall profile count is the total number of profiles associated with your SuperNova account, regardless of their marketing status and channel (this includes Email, SMS, and Push profiles today). Any profile that is being stored and tracked in SuperNova will be represented in this count.

Can I use SMS or email independently, or do I need to buy both?

All of our base plans come with email, and you can choose to add SMS to your plan. You may increase email or SMS independently.

Which countries is SuperNova SMS available in?

SuperNova technology SMS is currently available in the United Kingdom,  Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. We are continuing to expand to new regions.
